Browse Local Times by Country and City

7,046 cities across 172 countries. Start with a continent below, jump straight to any country, or open a city for its live clock.

Every Country We Cover

All 172 countries, grouped by continent. Each country page lists its cities, the time zones it spans — several countries run more than one — and whether it observes daylight saving time.

Other Ways In

Browsing by place is one route. If you already know what you are trying to work out, these are quicker:

  • Time zone converter — convert between two cities, or between zone abbreviations like EST and IST, with a full 24-hour table and the hours both sides are at work.
  • Meeting planner — for three or more participants, where no single hour suits everyone and the question becomes who takes the inconvenience.
  • Daylight saving time — when each country's clocks next change, and which ones never do.
  • Clock changes by US state — two states ignore the change entirely and fourteen more are split across two time zones, so the answer is not the same everywhere.
  • Guides — why the US has the time zones it does, which states are split, and what the clock-change rules actually say.

What You'll Find on Each City Page

Every city page carries a live clock that ticks in the visitor's own browser, so it stays correct without reloading. Alongside it: the city's IANA time zone and current UTC offset, whether it observes daylight saving and the exact dates its clocks next change, today's sunrise and sunset calculated from the city's real coordinates, and the current time difference against major cities in the US and worldwide.

Cities on the world's busiest travel corridors also list dedicated conversion pages — each with an hour-by-hour table and a worked-out window for when both places are awake. If you already know both ends of the journey, the time zone converter gets you there in one step, and the meeting planner handles a whole team at once.

Not every settlement in the database gets its own listing. Cities are listed when they pass a population threshold, with the United States and Europe shown in full because that is where most of the demand for small-town local time comes from. Anything not listed is still searchable from the box at the top of every page.
